VTR ECU problem

    Hey guys,

    so my mk2 VTR is being a pain in the ass, Steam poured out of my rad while sat in traffic, so I wen. The garage, and they changed my fan and temperature sensors... The red light on the temp switch still comes on, so now I'm thinking it's the ECU which is fucked... I can get an unlocked VTR ECU... Because it's unlocked do the numbers on the ECUs still need to match? Or can I just plug them in?


    Please help!!!

    plug it in. but it will be your thermostatt thats gone wont it?

    That's what I thought straight away, so I changed it... And then ran it with no thermostat at all an then put a brand new one in... Got an unlocked ECU today so hopefully it will work tomoz... Does any coding need to be done or anything on a computer?
