got my saxo on tuesday. All is great love it to bits
When i'm on full lock to the lef or right, i can hear a bit of a rubbing noise, its not a knocking noise, its a rubbing noise. My dad said its probably because of the 17 inch alloys thats on it, and they'll be rubbing on something when on full lock. Could this be right? Cos its unusually a mechinacal problem to hear it when its on full lock to the left or right.

#2I'm guessing your Dad is right and the 17's are rubbing on the wheel arch liners. Nothing to worry about really, You could take the wheel arch liners out, if I was you I just wouldn't go full lock anymore.
-
#3I would do as above, dont hit full lock. the arch liners are quite important to protecting from rust, rot and road spray, leave em in place mate.
-
#4Ive got 17s on mine mate...take the arch liners out, treat the areas behind, and just keep door shuts clean etc
-
#5It will just be because of the 17"s. Mines running 16" and i dont have the arch liners in.
Just make sure you rust proof the arches and keep checking the door shuts as the above person said. -
#6get smaller wheels, 17" to big for a saxo imo

#8i used to have pug 205 GTi speedline wheels on my, which i think are 17's? they used to rub alot on full lock. and it started to wear through my brake lines, so i would probably change the wheels. unless you can tuck the line somewhere.
personally i wouldnt take the inner arch liners out as someone said above they protect the car from alot of crap. unles you take them out and treat them.
Just get some smaller wheels...
