gear knob- urgent

   hiya, can sumone please give me the how to guide on replacing my gearknob by cutting it, because it wont just pull off. i have a mk 1 1.1 sax. thanks guys (and gals) lol</font>

   pull the cover off, my old 1.1 was a build in rubber sleave thing, then ur left with a plastic mould on the gear stick which you need to remove using a hacksaw. Just keep hacking it apart untill it comes off.

   i just sawed the whole fucking lot off.My gear knob i was trying to fit was alittle bit bigger so i just squirted some silicone in the hole then plonked it on.
