I have a clio.

1.2 dynamique its 2001 plate.

The immobiliser light EITHER flashes non stop or stays on constant.

If i QUICKLY turn the key to start the car it starts fine, BUT if i turn it to position 2 then try to start it i get nothing.

BUT

I thought it might have been crankshaft sensor. so i replaced it with the new modified renault one. I fitted it and now the car wont crank but i get lots of buzzing inside the car lights on the dash start flashing on and off etc etc.

anyone have experiance with clios and this particular problem?

i have tried the cliosport.net forums but errr nowhere near as many people online as here lol

its a fault with all clios its the immobiliser is basically shite mate by turning they key fast before u were tricking the electronics did it on mine. if you give k-tec a call they will be able to you what you need to replace also a odb port reader is a good buy from them too as for 40 quid will tell u if there are any aditional faults.
