HID's on standards

    I did that crazy thing that nobody seems to do on here nowadays and used the search feature, and I sort of found an answer to my question but wasn't very specific.

    My question to you today is:
    Would HID bulbs melt standard lights? Or would i have no problem?

    No, they should not melt them unless something went very wrong. Though it would not be road legal to fit them http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps

    Thanks mate, yeah I checked out that link on the other thread earlier and i was like fuck that puts my plans out the window lol. I like to keep things legal.

    mine r fine with them in mate. but my mates melted but they were cheap replacements from euro car parts.

    fine, ive only heard them melting aftermarket angel lights, never standards

    Been pulled over 100's of times and never once had a cop say anything about HID's
