Important! : Problem - car leaking petrol.

Basically car wouldnt start on friday, we checked everything over, fuses, relays and realised it was the fuel pump, as we undid the fuel lines at the front, and it was dribbling with petrol (it should of spurted out) We took off the air filter put some fuel into the inlet and it managed to start up for a split second, then died down and cut out as we didnt put that much in, and from that it told us it was the fuel pump.

Travelled to get a new fuel pump today, got one, fitted it and it started up
    Good news.

However i drove about 100 yards and could hear something dripping.
Petrol was now leaking from the front drivers side.

We then stopped, got out, opened up the bonet to check if we could see anything. The engine bay was free from petrol, nothing leaking from the fuel lines and nothing leaking from the fuel pump under the back seats.

We then had a look under the car, could see where it was dripping from but it looks like it has ran down the drivers side from somewhere, got to stop, and started dribbling from a certain spot as it had all mounted up.

Any suggestions/ideas as my car at my mates and could do with this sorted asap for college reasons.

    Thanks.

Yeah it does, but where its running under is the front left passenger side, the opoosite side to where its leaking. The fuel lines have been tightened well by jubilee clips.

strange that one. i can only think of fuel pipes, or maybe a fuel return pipe. if the engines running can you see any spray/mist from anywhere?

Sure someone ain't tried stealing your fuel by undoing the fuel pipe in the drivers side rear wheel arch iirc?

Doubt it mate, the car has been under cctv cameras so would of shown up
Also, the leak is coming from the drivers front wheel.
