Thats pretty hardcore service lol. I can't think of anything ontop.. apart from brake pads and discs? not really the engine though. But its checked in a service.

I know you asked about servicing and posted in the Engine and Performance section but if you're making the engine reliable you might aswell do the chassis afterwards aswell then you'll have an all round decent car to last years to come.. Especially with the winter coming up.

Underseal the underneath, wheel arches etc.
Whilst engine out you might aswell protect the engine bay from rust, they're known for rusting under the ECU tray and battery tray.. a bit of paint now will save welding in the future.

if youve got the engine out id do the headgasket if youre doing the cambelt too. cant hurt. by the time id got the head off id proabbly decide to do rings and bottom end bearings too though lol

heads not that much hard to remove in situe, also you can only skim a head a few times so i wouldnt bother swapping it unless it actaully was blown.

If you wanted to be keen you could take apart the cam covers and breather pipes and clean them out.

New sealant on the cam ladders would be worth doing as well imo.

i was thinking for doing the head gasket just because i wanted to have a good look inside the engine and see whats going on in there but engine ment to be on like 73k out 2001 plate. Might just buy the parts i listed then give the hole thing a good damn clean.

Another thing is jp4 rocker covers, do they have a seal on them or have got to keep putting instant gasket round them same j4 rockers?
