   Hi
   i have a promblem with the power steering.
   If i turn the wheel full lock there is a hissing noise these seems to be fine reading up on it on here, every now and again the power steering wouldnt work i would open the bonnet and shut it, then it would work, now it doesnt work at all
   
   Any help will be appreciated

   will probably need replacing, easy enough job to do. you can try hitting it with a hammer gently, it does make it stop but will probably just start doing it again.

   I had a similar problem with pump and although fitted a new one is a piece of cake and reletively cheap, you may need to have a diagnostics ran to make sure the ECU recognises the new pump.
   
   I had a right fuck on lasting weeks with mine resulting in having to get a new ECU as the current one didn't recognise the the new PAS pump that was fitted. Sorted now though and runs fine. Total cost for new PAS pump, ECU & labour was about £160.00
