lost wheel lockin nut key!

    Right my cars been stood for about a year and a half, batterys dead and the breaks are seized, I need to get the alloys of sell before i scrap the car cause they are mint, however I have misplaced my locking nut and obviously the car cannot be moved to take to a garage etc...So how do I go about gettin the wheels off without the locking nuts?

    17mm or 16mm nut.. Smash it over the top of the locking nut, use a wrench, should come off piece of piss

    That dont sound to healthy? lol..I need to get them off without damagin the wheels cause Im sellin them. I dont know what size it is I can tell you what wheels they are..?

    its a 1.1 saxo, same really cause the only known problems are what i stated above, but cause its been standin so long my dad said its probably rottin and needs to go, would be so much easier to sell the car as a whole :/

    It dont damage the wheels at all if your careful not to smash a hammer into them lol

    so what do i need to do this, just a hammer? it will be my dad doin it and he doesnt have a clue about cars..lol, also the car is on a drive on a slope, and the breaks are seized, he said the wheels probably wont come off, is this right?

    LMFAO why wont the wheels come off because the brakes are seized?

    As said, get the sock on the short extension bar and hit the socket over the locking wheel nut. Locking wheel nuts shouldnt be done up tight, so it should come off fairley easily.

    If that dont work you can pay £25 for some locking bolt removal tool, which screws into the bolt and undoes it.

    Orr failing that, jus weld another bolt to the locking bolt head and undo it.

    You can do the way that has been mentioned already, chisel them off,
    Or if you use the search button, there is a link to a tool you can buy to remove them, its from halfords £20ish.

    I had the problem off the locking wheel bolt done up to tight. Took it to a garage they chisled off the sleave around thd locking wheel bolt then hammered a 16mm socket over it and it came off a piece of piss

    First thing to do is have a double, triple check for the missing locknut key!

    Did you store it in the car - check all the little hideyholes? Or another place?

    I lost mine a while back.

    I hammered on a socket that was a fraction bigger than the locking nut.

    Popped the rachet in the back of the socket and whipped the locking nut out and binned it, repeat 3 more times and hey presto.

    I didnt damage my VTS alloys at all. Just use a modicum of care and its straightforward enough mate.
