   What does this actually do?
   Buying one off a mate at the weekend, and i know it makes the exhaust pop and it makes it louder, but does it remove the cat and can i still decat my car?
   Sorry if its a noob question.

   I believe the cat is in the centre section of the standard exhaust on the Mk1's where as on the Mk2 it is in the manifold.
   
   Surely an aftermarket exhaust would remove the cat, correct me if i am wrong?

   on a mk1 vtr it will remove the cat and silencer. if its anything like my vts it will be loud as fuck
