Important! : Car Stalling

    Hi,

    I have a 2001 Citroen Saxo VTR, it currently stalling when i first start the car idles roughly at 900 and then jumps down to 0 when it cuts out. Its also just started doing it when am driving and dip the clutch to change gear, it just cuts out...

    Any advice on what the problem could be?

    I've just had the spark plugs changed and that has made no differnce, i have also had the air filter replaced...

    i used to get this with my vtr, just not when its ticking was over. normally on a cold morning start it would cut out when i dip the clutch to stop at traffic am like ehh lol but all i used to give it abit longer to warm up before i drove and if it did cut out, i'd just start it again n carry on with no further probs ran sweet when warm

    Clean the icv or change the coil pack

    Will be the icv, try clean it, if that doesnt solve it try another one in it ( from the same car, borrow one of a mate if you can) Its only 2 torx bits on the throttle body that hold it on. If you cant borrow one, try a scrapyard they may let you try one on it before buying it.

    Thanks for your advice, I will have a look at the ICV in the next few days... Hopefully that should fix it

    defently your icv, you can buy a new one off ebay for around 20quid. Had same problem on mine.
