Got a MK2 2003 VTR 1.6 8v
According to this engine diagram the green temp sensor is located in the engine block (4025 ON THIS DIAGRAM) however on my car this sensor is located in the thermostat housing (1220 ON THIS DIAGRAM) Where 4025 is on the diagram i have a blue sensor with one wire coming from it???
The car runs ok, however if i blip the throttle there is no power for a moment and the car bounces like its going to stall before correcting itself. I have to rev the car and then lift the clutch when moving off from lights. There is also a sucking noise when i do this coming from the throttle body? I was going to buy a new MAP sensor but i wanted to check if my temp sensors have been correctly installed! i ordered a new blue sensor from parts junction which has three prongs and is a totally different fittment to the blue sensor in my car which has a metal clip to keep it attached to the sensor!?!?!
Please can someone shed some light as its started to piss me off now!
