camshaft oil seal question!!!

    im replacing my 16v camshaft oil seal again as its popped back out, after looking at where the seal locates- we noticed a oil return hole at the bottom back face. when i replace the seal do i need to drive it all the way back so it sits flush with the back face or should i leave a small gap?

    quick answers appreciated as we are working on it at the moment!

    never fit a camshaft oil seal until it stops, when i fit any seal e.g Rear main, gearbox front seal or camshaft seals i always push them in so they sit flush and then push them a little more (1mm) so they sit just slightly inside the surface.... if that makes sense .... but i try to take note of how the old seals are fitted as to depth as a reference to when i fit the new ones
