Alright hello there, first of all i dont remember if i ever introduced myself, i registerd along time ago.
For the short version,I live in Holland and i drive a Peugeot 106 1.4 Mark 2 2002, And i LOVE this car, its like a mini gogo-kart. There are not alot of cars who drive the same way. I have lowerd it myself 40mm with SPAX, upper and lower strut and some better tyres. I swaped the long gearbox for a short 1.1 and upgraded the brakes to GTI ones with ds2500 pads (the non race one). Best of all its low to incurance, tax and gets very good gasmilage
But this car has also got me alot of trouble. When i bought it with a 6 months warranty, around 1000 euro was spend those 6 months to fix varias exhaust, leaking and other probems (hurray for france build quality
). Now i fixed quit abit in the 2 years i own this car but yet there are some strange problems left,
-Batterylight, yes i readed the FAQ thing and i konw those things. the thing is i already changed the alternator and belt (witch are on tensions yes). but that dam light is still flashing like mad. its not on like when your in first key slot 1, but its flickering very slightyly on every rpm always. i thought of just puling out the warning light lol. any idees ? (voltage 12,3. at idle 14 does not increase more)
-Sqeeking brakes, i know i have ds2500 but is it suppost to sqeek ? it does it when you brake on lower speed. kinda annoying.
-Sqeeking springs, I lowerd my car myself and i think i done everything right. i even checked everything twince but still when i go over a bumby road of a speed bumb it makes wierd noise. i replaced the links for the ARB but still no luck. idk if becouse its stiffer now more things just rattle or there is something wronge with the spring. (If i park on my driveway i have to make a sharp turn from lock to lock, then it springs a bit like the disk is not moving freely, could this couse it?)
-I also had to replace the power steering pump or PAS, and it worked fine for 10000km but now when i turn ignition to secund (not started the car), the PAS comes on. Also my blower and rear window heater work. doenst suppost to i think ? is there a relay that powers this ?
-Both my water temp and oil temp sensor do not work. or atleast the red lights dont come on on the dash. I tested the sensors and they work, also checked cable, any other bottlenecks here?
-Finaly the whorst of al i think... there is oil dripping very slowly for the left cilinder, also the is a tiny tiny tiny bit of oil in the coolant resevoir. The car doesnt smoke or used oil in the last 2500km that it started. head gasket ?
