Important! : driveshaft split again why ?

    hi i have a question, got new drive shaft for driver side had it on about 3 to 4 month now the rubber boot is split ? why dose this keep doing it. Its the 3rd time now, they are not cheep 1s so thought they would last longer ? can any 1 give me some advice thanks.

    is your car lowered?as it puts extra strain on the shafts as that might be one reason?

    Is the car modified at all? Lowered cars do tend to get all sorts of drive shaft problems. Are your wheel bearings or? As play in these car give you problems. Where did you get the drive shafts from? There are some really cheap nasty ones out there. Is it defiantly the correct drive shaft for your car?

    hi yes by 60mm m8 don't no if you can get better rubbers to go on ? just found it today that was the cracking noise every time i pulled off, put some grease in and raped a bag around it for now until i get another 1 .

    as its been making that cracking noise for a few months should i just buy a new drive shaft or re pear it, and where should i get the next 1 from? if not Andrew page ?

    take it back to them and get it replaced under warranty if it's a fault with it.

    ive had 2 driveshafts completely snap, thats the thing when you go low

    looks like i will have to keep my eye on them more often then, its not like i hammer the car ?

    its makes it worse when your booting it whilst your turning that could add to the wear

    for that price they werent genuine i know thats not relly cheap but genuines are more the quality of the rubber on some of the cheapers is far more brital doesnt take much for them to tear unfortunately
