mileage

   hi, was just wondering if this is a common problem and if there is anyway of sorting it out
   
   I know that the speedo on my car is out, at 70 on the speedo it is 65 on a sat nav, i drove to bristol from london yesterday and tracked myself on a gps unit and reset my trip computer on the dash, on getting to bristol my gps 105.1 miles, but the car clocked it at 109.6, over 4 miles differance
   
   the car has 86,500 miles on it, im thinking it should prob be a little less because of the above and im going to be getting slightly worse miles per gallon figures than i fort
   
   is there any thing i can to do to get the dash to be more accurate

   All vehicles will over read, resulting in the milage being higher than what it is...but its very much differene, and only over higher speeds.
   
   There are speedo healers, which will correct it. But not worth it tbh! I have one on my bike, but thats only as im going down custom gears routes too, so i need to know the true acurate speed. If mine says 30 im doing 30! Where as the sax willsay 30 and its prolly 27.
   
   Aleast i wont get caught speeding, in either the sax or riding!
