    i dont think it is
i thought they was H4 untill i got them today
as its got like a connector in which it
goes from the 3 pin (in the car)
which then plugs into another seperate cable to the light
    which is a 2pin :/

They did them for the mk2 to take H4 or H7 bulbs. So it just depends what ones you have there. You should probably read these links before fitting them though.

cos i have had a proper look at my morrettes and they are the h7 fittment
but there is also another seperate bulb
    a h1...which is a fog light bulb
on morettes doesnt that bulb act as the main beam?

Good question. The answer is YES you can relatively easily fit them to a Saxo and still be legal.

Or I should say you can easily fit them as your Hi beam. All you require as any HID approved high beam lamp unit from an original production car or approved aftermarket item. These will take E approved D2 bulbs. If it takes any of the H type bulbs eg H1, H4, H7 and so on then its NOT legal. It has to be D2. Bosch do some very nice projector units that may fit in your Morrettes quite nicely if you want to give it a try.

Low beam is a hole other ball game. It would be impossible for you to fit HID as Lo beam to BS standard as there prohibited. There is however an E standard allowing them but as well as requiring a specific headlamp and bulb like the Hi beam it also requires a complex auto levelling system and even an anti glare cleaning system both to ECE standards to be road legal. The reality of this is it makes it practically speaking impossible to retofit HID as Lo beam.
