Horn and Alarm Problem!

    Hi guys,

    Today I was driving down from Reading with my little brother and the stupid kid decided to put a 5p coin in my cigarette lighter! Don't ask me why.

    There was little sparks coming out and he quickly took the coin back out. I thought nothing of it but when I tried using my horn it wasn't working? Also, my alarm isn't working? I have a autowatch alarm. My central locking is fine, it's just the alarm that doesn't want to work!

    Any ideas of what could be causing the problem?

    Look in the book see if the cig lighter is on the same fuse as the rest, but like said most likely the problem, find out which fuse it is and check it in the glove box.

    Cheers for the quick replies guys.

    I'll have a look and see if I can find out which fuse it is. Could the alarm problem be something to do with a fuse as well?

    If the alarm fitter took the suply from that circuit yeh, I dont think he would though, Possable though.

    Definitely would have fucked a fuse, 30amp iirc.

    I would have flipped if someone done that in my car

    Cheers guys. I did flip lol really wanted to give him a beating!

    I'll replace the fuse and hopefully the alarm will start working again!
