Sitting on bumpstops?

Has anyone had any problems with the rear sitting on the bumpstops? obviously im aware you wont have any rear suspension travel but will it strain/damage the chassis/floor over time? thats my concern really. My cars lowered 70mm at the moment and was thinking to lower it more but theres only about another 10mm before its resting on the bumpstops.

I was on bumpstops for about a year...then i took them out...
    Ride is harsh...very harsh!

It will be illegal if you are picked up on it, and it will fail it mot too.

I had no problems in the time i had it decked like that! But im not saying you wont, ive knwn pele to have it for a few months and fucked the beam up!

Drop to bumstops will be about 110mm iirc...

Yes constant impact with chassis/floor over time will cause alot of stress, the bumpstops can only do so much.

Plus sitting on bumpstops thus giving no suspension travel is an MOT fail if the tester is doing a proper job of it

Yes it will along with other parts. Drive shafts and dampers take a pounding as well. You also get a very nasty transition on bumps that can make the car get very unstable. You getting to the point where your taking looks over comfort, handling and durability.

you csn replace the bumpstops over times if they wear
