Hi as yuo can tell by the title not too happy weather as you know is turning bad and already starting to get problems due to it. First is the not so serious but annoying is the drivers side flooring is really damp and is starting to smell. Checked all rubbers in door and arround door and from the arial port and all bone dry. Checked directely underneath the drivers side footwell to find any corrosion or holes and nothings so my questions to you are:
1. How to dry up the moisture from the flooring so i can protect it with a laminated floor mats
2. Where could water be entering to dampern the drivers footwell only?
The other probem tha can be serious is that only on a rainy night the following morning i will go to start my car which it does but then the engine sounds like its chocking and the engine rattles like mad!. Aso you go to drive off it jerks agressively like you are having a really bad stall but continuous and the only way from stopping it is to slam the accelerator to the floor andin theory flush it out but then it struggles. Driving above 2000 rpm is fine but if you stop for lights and try to set off the same problem again jerk forward but does throw you forward and the exhaust and engine missfires. However after 15mins of aggressive driving the car runs fine again and for the rest of the day.
I have checked the air filter and thats fine. Wiped the ht leads and that fixes it for a short period then does it again. checked the sparks incase worn but had a full service last December.
Cheers
