re. worth of cat convertor.

   Just taken my cat and silencer off my car and replaced it with a decat pipe.
   IS it true that the cat is worth alot becuase its copper?
   Mates have told me i could get about 80 quid for it?
   This true?

   I've heard they are worth a fair bit for scrap, not £80 though i wouldn't of thought?

   Its not copper but yes they are worth a few quid.
   Dont forget that you will need a cat to pass an mot.
   Even mad mick on trench road wont do dodgy emissions!

   there worth about 25 quid because theres small amounts of platinum in them

   pikeys that come round us give between £30/£40 usually.

   we scrapped 5 of them about 3 weeks ago and gor 120 for the lot. so well worth keeping.
