cig lighter connection?

   Anyone know where i can connect my cig lighter to get power back to it? as it was disconnected before i got the car. will any live and earth do?

   any switched live i like to run a fuse in the line as you dont want it doing any damage if you plug in anything dodgey. and any earth will do just make sure its clean and dry.

   mines got two prongs sticking out the back of it which looks like there should be another connecter there but there isnt... any ideas guys?
   
   How do i pull the actual unit out the console too?

   tap it from the rear with a hammer and block, metal will move first the plastic can be taken out.
   should be a plastic block that clips on the back. i got mine from scrappy by cutting it out and soldering black in, as it come with led live wire too

   I have a brown wire entering it as a slightly different place but the two main connections are bare. I cant get pics coz stupid iphone doesnt have flash lol
   
   Btw what colours are the wires that feed into it? Are they grey and yellow?

   you can use them spade bits but they tend to fall off

   Cheers mate. I can see where the wires have gone as well... Used to power my sub/amp (done before i got the car).
   
   might nip to halfords see if they got something like that or them little spade/flat connectors will work?

   thats what i meant. they are ok but dont hold on very well. have them in mrs car prob beter to lenghten wires might hold better
