HELP PLEASE,Rust on Underneath of Car

   As you may of already guessed, i have an issue witu rust on the underneath of my motor.
   
   When i bought the car the sunroof had been leaking and there was easily 1-3 inches of water sitting on the bottom of my foot wells. When it came to changing my tyres i noticed that on both passanger and drivers side it had rusted.
   
   Anyone got any ideas on how to sort this out so i can get it through it's MOT.

   As in the top of the front arches ie under the ECU? common place if to, get it cut out and rewelded, either way it'll pass the mot as is

   i just finish welding and reparing my saxo.
   it not nioce job but in the end i spray plenty of new underseal. its black bitumin stuff smels like f..ck and its drying for 6-8h but job wel done .
   just get it done.

   the rust is literally under the footwells, a friend suggested sounding it down the repainting the whole underneath of the car?

   So is the rust inside the car in the footwells out below the footwells on the underside of the car?

   yea once you have sanded it down get rust treatment as it stops rust ever coming back!

    just checked and as far as i can see its only on the underneath. but still theres alot of water underneath the carpet where all my cables are running :s
    
    getting a quote tommorow for some wielding to be done if it really needs to be done
