Powder coating on brake calipers

   hi
   just got my self pair of 106 gti/ s16 brake calipers
   my local painting company ofering powdercoating( grit blasting before)
   in price of 10 gbp per side.
   any one did it and how durable powdercoating is.

   i heard its supose to be veary good on brake calipers but anyone try it.

   its really good on them but make sure they dont grit blast them as they need to be stripped down first and you dont want grit in your brakes. i had mine vapour blasted and powdercoated and 6 months on they look like new and not a spot of rust in sight love it. just make sure they mask all the insides up and put a bolt in the bleed nipple hole to keep the threads clear as its a propper arse to clean out unwanted powdercoat.

   i hawe set of vtr/ vts brake to do but just today i found set of 266mm brakes ( bosh 54)
   and i am thinking how much beter they are from standert vt* ones
