Not a Saxo but please help urgently! :(

   Basically today i bought what i thought was a 1.6 VTR ph1 Xsara.
   It is a 1.4 which must be a west coast and has VTR badges stuck on.
   
   My problems are:
   
   There is only one wiper arm which still wipes alot of the windscreen, but the wiper barely works on the stalk, only goes at 1 pace, and the horn, indicators and hazard moves the wiper!
   
   Also the brake lights are contstantly on, all the bulbs work etc but the brake lights dont work with the pedal.
   
   Also the reverse light doesnt work even tho the bulb works..
   
   Well and truly confused.com someone please help

   sounds like a bad earth problem check your earth points cant remember exactly where they are on a xsara but do a google search probs bring it up

   why the hell did you buy it? and you would have noticed it was a 1.4 if you had checked the documents :s

   I knew there was a wiper problem, but i figured it might just be a relay or bad motor. Also i dont mind it being a 1.4. its a nice car and i got it stupidly cheap.

   Sounds to me like a dodgey earth throwing them all out like the typical transit when indicating the brake lights flash.......

   So it could ALL be down to just a dodgy earth point?

   Found what i think is the main or one of the problems, theres a cable at the front of the car that hangs down and over time (cos the car is quite low) its eaten at the plastic sleeve and torn up a few cables so il fix all them up and report back tomorrow!
