  11. #11
    keep it flatty
  12. #12
going down scrappy soon and going to look for bodykits then... i think bodykit will suit the car tbh, looks way to standard otherwise
  13. #13
Defo get the vtr kit on it.
  14. #14
imo saxo's dont look right without the wide arches and skirts
  15. #15
yeh i think it looks way to standard for a saxo tbh... just need to find one now
  16. #16
    keep it flatty
  17. #17
ahhhh i really don't know.. most people have been saying vt kit so....
  18. #18
i picked up a hole vt kit thursday in mint condition and a old stil grill for 80 quid was of a 04 vts
    with only 44k on clock
jsut got a doffeerecnt front bumper but still good condtion as it has a front end smash
  19. #19
i think flatarches look terrible and quite chavvy if im honest. i would say vt kit it but then it seems such a waste to spend money on a 1.1 saxo, as you will no doubt want a quicker car sooner or later. mayaswell just wait and buy a vtr or 1.4 even then you wont have to worry with the vt kit
  20. #20
04vts??? there wasnt an 04 vts lol only went up to 53 i think.... lol
  21. #21
im 17.... everyones wants there car to look good at that age i aint even spent much on it tbh
  22. #22
Edit, no its not the car i thought it was. Your car looks actually very tidy for a flatarch. Save your money for a VTR and transfer your wheels, lights ect
  23. #23
Yehh my next car i want is a vtr... i've just gotta wait on insurance
  24. #24
i'd keep it a flat arch and colour code the bumper strips
  25. #25
    Ok mate thanks
  26. #26
imo mate keep it flat arch even tho i prefer the saxo's with the vt kits you'll just be seen as having a vtr or vts and constantly get other people in their actual vtr's try and race you being planks etc atleast as a flat arch it is what it is and still pretty nippy for a 1.1 anyways

if i were you just wait till you can afford a 1.4 or vtr

    Thanks again f13sta

My 1.1 has the vt kit on it, came with it when i bought it and i much prefer it. It all depends on whether you have the time / want to put the effort in getting the vt kit on properly. Also if you're thinking of getting a vtr you might want to think about how soon in the future you'll get it, cus might not be worth vt kitting your 1.1 if you'll be trading it for a vtr soon

    Fair shout mate.
    Thanks

    Thanks
i want your wheels, that was my plan for the alloys on mine

keep it flat arch, the wheels sit nicely in it, and would be far inside the rear arches if you got a kit

Yeh.. i decided to go with flatty.
Just getting a VTR Front bumper.
    Going to lower it.
    Fitting my spoiler soon aswell.
    Dewipering it.

Should turn out a nice little motor...

Guess how much i payed for my wheels??

  38. #38

Looks great as it is for a flatarch but a VT kit will make it looks even better

imo by fitting a vt kit will just make it look like a vtr and then you'll still have to modify it to make it stand out, whereas i think if you keep it a flatty with a vt front bumper and a few other touches will make it stand out as a nice looking flat arch rather than just a stand run of the mill vtr look a like, i love my housemates 1.1 with a vt front bumper, black vtr alloys, colour coded grill, dewipered etc, looks really smart for a flatty, i prefer it to some vt kitted cars by a long way

but if you wanted to smooth the vt kit then id say go for it would look good, but imo just stick to the front bumper, i know you've seen these pics already mike but ill post them up just so other people can see how good a flatty can look

  41. #41
    Ok mate.
    Thanks x

I just bought a 1.1 saxo forte and was thinking of putting a vtr kit on the car is blue but i want to put a black kit on with black vtr wheels.... What you think?
  46. #46
imo i hate to toned cars sorry mate.
  47. #47
the front of that red 1.1 looks good but the rear looks total cack
  48. #48
it has standard rear lights no, i love it
  49. #49
can't actually find a front vtr bumper ANYWHERE
  50. #50
Reading through the posts you have made the right choice. Keep it flatarch that way people wont expect you to be quick as your not .

IMO, get rid of the VTR wheels. They piss me off on flatties.

Other than that nice car mate
  51. #51
im vt kitting my flatty ..take a look at my prgress thread mate..
there loads of vt parts going round i fort it would be hard to find a complete vt of the same car
found one with in 3 days of proper ,ooking and it was within 15 miles away
was reay cheap 2 £80 with all bolts and clips for arches .. just missing front bumper brackets but he droped them round at some point to day while out at collage ..just have to tiger seal them on =]
  52. #52
    lucky you bud
