hi there all my brother has a 106 gti with piper cams and piper adjustable pullys, the problem is the timing has slipped and there are no clear marks on the pullys to show where to line them back up. does any one no where the maks are to line them back up, any help will be much appreciated

#3Any photos of what model pulley you have? They normaly have a mark grid on them. The cam manufacture will be able to give you the cam timing if you tell them what model you have. Or you can normally just look it up on there web page with most cam manufactures.

#4you sure theyre even piper pulleys? gtis have adjustabls as standard, and youd need to know the spec of the camshaft to time them up correctly

#5found out why the timing has slipped , the key one crank pully has sheard, removed head and its bent every valve like a banana, just had a look through his paperwork and last time it was on rollers it made 176bhp, would it need a upgraded head gasket on rebuild?

#6has it got throttle bodies? as if not those rollers must have been well out

#7Any good quality gasket should do as long as you should go for one the same thickness
