Another rebuild question. Bottom end bearings?

Hi guys, ive Got the engine completely stripped on my rebuild project.
Now comes the actual rebuilding part.

My question is, is it worth fitting uprated bearings to the bottom end (crankshaft, conrods) or just fresh oem ones? I plan to run boost with The engine.

if your turboing it i would uprate them as it puts extra strain on the bearings as standard ones probably wont last as long

Theoretical the crank does not run on the bearings but rather a layer of oil. It's really only on starts or if the engine ever gets oil starvation that they may get contact. So I always opted for standard ones so if they crank ever does make contact the crank comes off best. But both options work fine its just personal preference. Just don't buy some cheap nasty ones.

Cheers for the replies, interesting info there axracing.
I thought I would get away with The crankshaft ones as uprated ones dont seem to be listed on gmc/atspeed. Thought id ask though as I dont want the engine failing due to a duff bearing
