Starved of petrol

    Went out in the saxo yesterday as i went round a corner the was a huge puddle in the road i hit it but not to fast shortly after this the car started to splutter, i then met someone coming the other way and had to pull over at this point the car cut out. I tryed starting it but unless i had revs it would cut out. I left it for a bit then started it up and it spluttered for a while then drove fine. dont think the water would have got anywhere near the air intake so wondering what else could it have been

    may have just got bit damp and the coil pack etc not like it just go round with some wd40 all conection
