Important! : VTS Gearbox

   My VTS has litrally ripped itself a new 1.. gearbox has around 4" hole in bottom.. REALLY need a new 1.. ASAP.. does anyone have or can suggest somewhere i can get a VTS mk1 box from in the Clacton-on-sea area.. CO15
   
   Not redic prices as group 14 ins is hard enough to afford as it is..
   
   Also think i need a coilpack aswell.. before it happened the whole car would vibrate slightly when on idle.. was fine driving but very ennoying on tick over.. any ideas if this would be the coilpack/ if not what could it be and where again could i find parts to fix?

   Awhh that sucks.. what sort of prices have you had to shell out for the boxes and fitment?

   i paid 160 for my gearbox, using that site i showed you, then i got contacted by Justcitroen Parts (random company).... did you leave your details for a quote Also i fitted my box as im a mechanic but im sure you could get it done for under 200 at a garage

   Mine was just removed from a lower mileage saxo, they strip down cars and check the parts are ok, then sell them on, youl get 3 months warranty with the box, long enough to see if its ok or not , plus the one they sent me was the lower ratio one, not the actual vtr box, acceleration is loads better, just dont like motorway driving anymore

   Thats 1 the probs i got.. iv been told with a VTS if i dont get the same box will always sit higher revs.. use even MORE petrol and not be as fast top end but make hardly no difference on aceleration?? iv found loads of VTR boxes for about £80-£120 but no F00kin VTS ones.. Dont know what to do.. think i need to find someone scrapping a whole vts.. which again in this area for some reason seems to be impossible -.-

   you could try when ordering your gearbox from that parts place, just stress to them that it has to be from a vts and needs to be an actual vts box, i didnt state that so i got just any

    lol ok mate cool.. guess ill just have to wait to hear from them as still just says checking stock atm.. cheers for the help tho.. shame no1 on here can jus shout out IM SELLING ONE THAT WORKS LOVELY!! (HINT HINT) lol..

    i dont know a huge amount bout cars especially gearboxes.. does the fact i no longer have 1st/2nd gear effect anything??...
