rear axle powerflex

   hi i just brought a recon axle from imaxles and was just wondering what the best thing to use to get the bushes out so i can put my powerflex ones on. thanks

   When williamsvts did mine, we burned the metal sleeves out, then used a flat head screwdriver to get rid of the remaining rubber.

   i thought as it was a recon axle that had never been used they should come out easy but obviously not lol would like to try avoid burning them out if possible.

   I'd say the only way to get the bushes out is to remove the metal sleeves from the centre. Once the sleeves are out, you should be able to just bend the rubber and push the bushes out.
   
   Something like a holesaw would also work. Burning them out isn't too bad though, just makes a bit of a sticky mess.
