i asked on here about my axle n got recomended ricky p he said it would take another bearing and my trailing arm was bent so he replaced that with a 2nd hand 1 n charged £180 that was in august. Coming home from college today i herd a bang when i got home i checked the side he repaired n its gone again, now ive text him and phoned him twice but no joy, what should i do?

its doubtful if it will cause any major trauma while driving but needs sorting for sure. if they were secondhand parts then i wouldn't think any business would replace them free of charge after a couple of months but to be honest if it had new bearings in it i'd be concerned why they had failed so early, are you sure the pin that the bearing sits on isn't worn out as well?

Isn't it dodgy that they keep going??

thats what leads me to think the stub pin may be worn where the bearing runs

ricky said the day he was fixing it that it would take another bearing and was waiting for it to turn up from supplyer, only thing that was second hand was the trailing arm as mine lent in like this /---I.
Ive text him again about it and still no reply, im trianing to be a vehicle body repairer at college so ill get it on lift n see how bad it is with out taking any thing apart, we had a chat the other week about doing work on cars and the law states that if someone repairs a car and any part of it fails and causes an accident the person who repaired it will be in serious trouble and carries a jail sentance, so if it falls to bits only 1 person to blame!
Another thing i thought to press in a new bearing the axle had to come off, might be wrong like but it hasnt been off at all cos i had a look when i took it back for its mot the day after i had it done?????

the axle can stay in place to replace the trailing arm bearing, just the arm needs to be removed.

Didnt say any thing about prosicuting any body was just stating a fact i learnt lol and i cant see its worn out in 6 weeks though even if drove it like a stole it it should last longer. Sum body should cross bread an axle on a corsa with the saxo 1 n make a conversion kit or sumat to fit to saxo would be alot better than the french sack lol
