best cam to use out of these 3.....

hi basically i have these cams just wondering which will be the best over all, i compete in road rally events were torque is normally needed lower down the RPM range and cant find the specs for standard vts cams or c3 16v cams, i will be using the c3 head with the larger valves. i will not be purchursing any more cams eg 708,ph3 or pt51 as money is a bit tight atm just wondered whats the best i can use with what i have. i will be using j4 springs/followers

    cam choices i have:

    std vts j4

    standard c3 jp4

kent pt50(r) presume these are regrinds with the (R) read up on these cams and heard they dont actually do that much apart from shift the power band up

    thanks chris all comments welcome

If you need the torque and power lower down the revs id stay away from a high lift cam.
People have seen a power increase by fitting j4 cams in jp4 heads, nothing massive though imo.

Why not just install a shorter gearbox to help.

i have run some tests on short gear ratios & engine power delivery

kent pt50 is just a regrind spec which would be ok with your box

good spread of power i believe unless you fit 708's & shorten the box further

thanks for the advice pt50 it is then, i shouldnt have any valve clearance problems with these cams using the jp4 head and jp4 gasket (0.6mm) head has not been skimmed thanks chris
