Removing bottom spring pan

    Hi ive got some coilovers so will no longer need the bottom spring pan.. how does it come off ? Sorry if it just pulls of just if i need to cut it off i will need to buy a grinder ! thanks

    I dont know what you've got to change over for coilovers, but I know the bottom spring pan is fixed in place, so if you did need to get rid of it, you would need a grinder

    You shouldn't need to get rid of that. The coilover just replaces the standard strut without needing modification.

    so just smash them off ? can anyone else back this up ?

    they dont need smashing, take the gold nut off what holds the shocker in the strut, once thats off and the shockers out, tap the underneath of the pan and it shud start slipping off.

    Jus hit it from underneath, comes straight off really easily.

    If you left it there then it wouldnt be able to be an adjustable coilover lol

    they just pull off . . . may need abit of encouragement with a hammer though.
