door lock won't open

    If the door is shut and locked it could be a bit of a problem. In the past when I have seen this (on other makes and models) it has been possible to drill out the bolts that hold the door striker plate and release it that way.

    With most cars your cant get the door card off with the door shut, something normally gets broken. We have found though strangely that once we have got to the lock from inside the door and operated the levers they open!!! On older fiesta's we have had to chisel the door frame from the inside....not good.

    I am assuming that the door lock control rods are still attached to the door and the barrel is still turning normally.
