Supersprint... POP!! POP!! BANG!! BANG!!

   Just fitted a 2" Supersprint exhaust system and after driving a few miles it seems to have gone louder but it aint popping etc which i was told it would do alot off does anyone know why this is??

   So i have to get a DeCat mani for it to pop and that?... any decat mani like a raceland or sportex?

   Yee you will need to decat it. Dont get a Sportex manifold, fitted one for a mate in the past and to put it simply, it was shockingly made. Either go for a 4-2-1 raceland (you will have to re-locate your oil filter to make this fit) or the 4-1 raceland

   are you sure the cat is in the mani on your car and not underneath?

    deffo in the mani its an 03 and ive just put a straight through supersprint and double checked.

    could always stick with supersprint? i have one on my vts, good gains and no problems fitting

    I've got one on mine mate with the CAT still in place, i've got mine to pop and bang on the odd occasion but.. you have to get the exhaust really hot and use the gear changes to brake the car then you will get a pop but hopefully by the end of the month i'll be running with a 4-2-1 manifold .

    And Yeah you will need to decat...
    
    If you have a supersprint system try and keep the theme going and get a Supersprint Manifold you should see some decent gains

    I have a raceland 4-2-1, magnex decat, and full magnex system with the unsilenced centre section and it very rarely pops and bangs.
    
    I dont see all the fuss about a pop or bang from exhaust, surely this just shows your car is overfueling?

    Get a Supersprint manifold, they are excellent. Bloody pricey though lol

    Take's a lot to get a VTR to pop really.
    Mine had a Piper 4-1 and a Piper system and only used to pop If I had been driving it hard and the exhaust had a lot of heat in it and even then it would only pop once or twice.
    
    My GTI used to pop from cold with a Pugsport exhaust on it. Used to spit flames too

    My MK2 VTR would pop alot but only when I wanted it to lol other wise the odd bang when down shifting..
    
    I had a Raceland 4-2-1 decat > Custom Centre Striaght through > Peco BB4 backbox
    
    Then my other MK2 VTR with a MK1 manifold de-cat > Standard centre section > peco BB4 used to pop alot when cold and burble alot when warm
