The lights left on noise is controlled by a fuse

yh checked the fuses, there all fine. loose connection maybe?

    Mate

You say you checked the fuse but have you changed it.

Fuse 12 top left is a 5a fuse, It controls the lights on alarm, Dash lights, front sides, one rear and some of the entertainment.

My lad had the same on his (caused by him when he fitted the stereo).

If you change the fuse and the problem still exists, check the connection behind the box.

Actually, thinking about it, the best thing to do is to disconnect all the Stereo stuff, Change the fuse and see if the lights on alrm works. I'll wager it will and then you will know the problem is with the Sound system. That's how i found his problem. ALso, take care as you may find you have one tail light out too.

yh i found i hate two tail lights out. i canged the fuse 12 and it still blew wenever i turned stuff on. so i took fuse 1 out and put 12 back in and it worked fine. so now am drivin without a fuse 1. obviously can't last forever. so i need to fix it. the stereo work but the subwoofer doesn't. i replaced the fuse in the sub power wire and the remote cable and still nothing. i have no idea now

Without wanting to sound patronising, Everything worked ok until you fitted the woofer, then it didn't. That suggests that there is either something wrong with the woofer itself or the way you fitted it.
The best thing you can do now is completely disconnect the subwoofer and the stereo and make sure all the fuses are fitted and intact

Now switch on and check everything works
    Assuming it will,
Check the wires in both the multi pin plugs that plug into the stereo.
Any signs of wear or shorting.
Don't be fooled into thinking that just because the stereo works, the wiring is OK, the one i took out had 1 earth and 3 power feeds, 1 main (red) and 2 auxilliary. God knows why (maybe one for the subwoofer???)

Stereo was working fine but one of the other feeds was shorting out and blowing fuse 12.
Insulated it, Jobs a good un !

You really don't want to be driving without fuse 1 (warning lamps and gauges, Coolant Temp control unit!!)

i had the woofer in for about 4 months and it was working fine. to be honest i think theres seperate problems. i took it to a mate and he fixed it all. so i have a fuse 1 now and all ecltrics work fine. but no sub still. am pretty sure its something wrong with the amp itself as i checked there was power with a thing that looks like a screw driver. (can't remember what it called.) and it has a remote lead and a good earth. both fuses are fine and have been replaced. so at the end of the day i think its jus blown inside somehow.

check you havent caught the wireing loom when messing with the sterio! iv done it in my old 106 before now fitted a new sterio, turned out it has snagged the wireing as i pushed it back in and has loosend the plug on the back of the dials, might be worth taking dials out and haveing a check, shouldnt do though as they have a little white tab holding them in! but mine wernt origonal and these obv hadnt been put back on by the prev owner making the connection loose

i tried all sorts for ages fuses etc etc and this was the last thing i tried and that solved it

and also check the earth on the door switces for the light warning, the screw is a spechal earthed one it will only work wth the same screw back in them useually so check that isnt corrded or anything if so replace it and thats that sorted aswell

thanks alot matey, i'll have alook. i got most stuff fixed now, but the subs still playin up. i tried a diff headunit and it still didn't work. but i think ur right about snagging wires in the loom. i did alot of work on the centre console and stuff so i prob have snagged sumit. thanks alot
