    rear window removal ?
    how easy is it to take out the rear glass in the boot as i want to fit vts mk1 spoiler to my mk2 boot but want to change the glass over aswell so dont have to plug the holes left from the mk2 spoiler in the glass

    Its bonded in so near enough impossible diy

    It can be done but you will need some strong wire similar to cheese wire that acts like a blade to cut through the bonding material. If you have never done it then I would not try it especially if you want to keep the glass. Toughened glass is not very forgiving if you try to pry it trying the break the initial bond.

    dad owns a window company so will get him to do it he seems to think there is a technique he can use to do it with string on the rubber seal

    If he can all the better. The string method used to work well for non-bonded windows. It needs a fair amount of effort to cut that adhesive.

    it'll have to be bloody strong string lol, i've got proper snap-on gear for removing bonded screens and its still not easy, most people opt for swapping the tailgate, however if you are determined to keep your existing lid i'd recommend getting a screen fitter round and greasing his palm
