#2Truthfully, its pointless and a waste of money.
Unless your trying to work along with competition regulations.
You would be better off fitting a 98bhp VTR engine.
But if your going to do that you may aswell fit a VTS engine. And you may aswell weigh up the costs of selling the furio and buying a VTS.
Your looking at near 1k to cam and map your car tbh
You will need a remap to get the full potential out of the Ph3 camshaft, the whole head has to come off when fitting a camshaft to the 8V so new headgasket and head bolts need to be purchased, and you also need to buy an adjustable pulley.
Probably get an extra 10 - 15bhp with the camshaft and remap. So more or less the same out come as the earlier VTR engines, but may have more power across the rev range than just peak power.
It really isn't cost effective these days with the cars being so cheap anyway, you can pick 98bhp VTR engines up for litterally a couple 100£. VTS engine your looking at a bit more.
There is plenty people on here who could fit an engine for you at a cheap price.
Awaits the plebs who say "why does everyone always say fit a VTS engine".1 user thanked this post: -
