Noise: Tapety Engine!!

   Theres a noise coming from the engine like tappets an valves churning kinda noise just wondering if anyone knows what this could be it isnt loud or very noticable but when ive lifted bonnet its there so looking for a piece of mind realli....

   Tappets quite likely culprit. Check site for guides on adjusting or consult haynes manual. Engine must be stone cold when adjusting. Do not overtighten rocker cover nuts when refitting - they WILL snap.

   mine was making wierd tapping noise but it was air escaping from the manifold where it was joined to the engine. always worth a check!

   noisey tappets arwe common, easy to adjust, check youve got plenty oil in, dont rag your car when cold either as this generally brings it on much quicker
