I have a 99 (V Reg) Saxo 1.1i East Coast with 79k on clock.
When i start up in the mornings, I have to put my foot on the accelerator to ensure it starts up (Vehicle will not start cold without foot on accelerator)
When pulling away the car sometimes bunny hops in 1st gear causing me to change into 2nd gear almost instantly, the car will then lose power intermittantly
(18mph in 2nd, 27mph in 3rd, 38mph in 4th and 49mph in 5th)
- This especially occurs when approaching a round-about making it very awkward to pull off (through fear i will lose power whilst entering the round- about and having to wait 1-3seconds for the car to acknowledge my foot is down on the accelerator pedal)
I could be driving normally, have to slow down for traffic and before i know it my car is not responding (in relation to having my foot down on the gas)
The Engine Management Light does not come one whilst driving with this fault.
I have replaced -
ICV
Sparks
Coil Pack
Ignition Leads
I am about to replace the Lamda Sensor...
Could there be any other reasons why this is happening?
Many thanks in advance for looking at my thread, your opinions and efforts all help
