Rev counter not working

    Right ummm simple thing, rev counter doesn't work and hasn't done since i got the car .... but is it a simple fix any help on how to fix will be appreciated. cheers

    no dials on my dash worked at all at one point, simple disconnect battery and reconnect solved it!

    if not then maybe a crank sensor?

    Isn`t there a sensor on the gearbox for the rev counter?if I recall.

    The ECU supplies the tacho output which is an interpretation of the crank sensor output. If the crank sensor was not working they car would not work. Wiring or an instrument fault??? Try the battery disconnect first though.

    tried battery disconnect and no luck so any advice on how to check sensors ecu etc ?

    Any 1 know what pin on the ecu it would be? got a feeling it's pin 6?

    id say buy a haynes as they have wiring diagram in them
