Get a garage to do or myself?

Hi guys, hoping for a bit of input. Im ok working on my car but its needing a few things sorting, the biggest of which is:

    Front Crankshaft seal leaking

Mounting clip on lower cooling hose has snapped, aux belt pulley has eroded part of it. Currently cable tied out of the way, have new part from citroen

Now obviously with the oil leak im worried about the timing belt condition, I /can/ change the belt myself if needs be, but i'll get to that in a sec.

Theres a miriad of other small little niggles as well as some investigation to do on the side of squeaks, knocks and scraping noises, which im putting down to a combination of not tight enough nuts in the footwells for the wishbones (which I changed myself) and possibly a wheel bearing.

The knock sounds like a CV knock. It used to be V bad, had the shaft replaced by a garage but it still does it only a little quieter, the other shaft was replaced about 2 years. However I need to double check if its louder going left or right. If its both im thinking wheel bearing or something else. If its right, its the 2 year old side, if its left, its the new one.

Anyway. Obviously doing all this myself saves a few bob. But I need to travel 200 miles to get home for the tools + garage etc. And I might hit trouble. To get there and back will be about £50 in fuel, but thinking about the parts I need to buy will it be offset by the cost of labour or not?

Second option is to go here: http://www.selfservicecentre.com/ which is 50 miles away so about £25 in fuel to get there and back, they have mechanics on hand if I screw something up, but its £10 an hour for a lift Bay. Also If i cant get everything (or at least the most expensive/car stopping i.e no coolant or oil in it) im stuck there overnight.

Third option, give it to a garage and throw money at it. Quoted 100 for the crankshaft seal. Lower hose will be 30, then labour for coolant drain/removal/refit/new coolant. Then labour for the other checks and probably more money down the line for replacement of stuff thats wrong.

Sorry for long post, just wanting some input
