Weird One!!!

   Bassically when i use the brakes my dials light up im not sure if the headlights gone on aswell but im just unsure to what could be causing it!! any ideas??

   Is it a stop/tail twin filament bulb??? I have seen these come loose or not fitted correctly. If the bulb is not seated the bayonet contacts on the bulb short across the brake and tail light terminals. Give it a quick check first...both sides mind.

   sounds like either a dodgy switch or a bad earth I would have thought.
