    look on the coil pack there is numbers on there

    Facing the engine, Looking at coil pack, 4 pin plug is at the back,

    No 1 piston is closest to Timing belt

    Google search Burger thats what it came up with on a few site's being that way round.. If i still had anyone of my other peugeot's i would check but Only got 2000+ here..

    Just assume that no.1 is at the timing cover end and place the leads as shown in the illustration earlier. If the illustration is made from a running car yours should fire up.

    Just come back from work after de-rattling the mrs VTS again and having checked my photos. Unfortunately the one I have doesn't show exactly the lead layout. I looked in one of our workshop manuals for your car and it doesn't show it in there either.
