Important! : Bearings/Drive Shaft

   Hi, i have a '99 reg Saxo VTR and would like to know whats causing the noise on my car.
   I have jacked it up and shook the wheels, the rear OK the front shakes left and right a little bit on both sides of the car. When im driving it, it humms when i increase speed or have just come off the motorway, and it really doesnt like me putting my clutch in to change gear.
   Having read some threads i have boiled it down to
   - Bearings Both Sides
   - Driveshaft
   
   Any info would be extremely helpful!

   Is it making a knocking sound when you go round a right or left hander?
   
   Usually indicative off the opposite side driveshaft being gone.

   Yeh the passenger side knocks a little
