Cold air inflow

    Hi

I have a K&N cold air inflow attached, I was woundering if the old standard air inflow pipe is any use, I have the standard one attached still and it cuts off just before the K&N air filter. Heres why..

I didn't want to cut it off totally if it's going to halm the car in a way that the engine is going to over heat because its not getting enough cold air.

It looks shit with it attached thats why im eagar to remove the old one totally, is it okay to do so?

It wont damage your car in anyway if you totally remove the old piping however, your performance may suffer due to a fair amount of heat soak!

You should just ask yourself what you want. Would you prefer the sound or the slight increase in performance from your air filter. I know which i would choose.

If you want the little extra perfomance your best just getting an uprated panel filter and some better cold air feed to go to our standard air box.

There is a induction kit which (from what ive read) is good for noise and that bit extra performance. This is the Raceland enclosed which basically is an open cone but covered and attached to your slam panel.

ive kept mine on as said with the air coming in from the slam panel it will keep the cold air coming and not as much heat soak you could always set up your own cold air feed im trying to find out how to get mine to in front of the rad but cant figure out how to get the pipe there
