Can anyone tell me how do I tell what kind of front brake callipers are on my vtr mk2 so I can order my pads was asked at the spares shop,he said there are two different makes Bendix and girling is this true.

All VTR brakes are the same. It will be cheeper for you to order them online i imagine aswel.

phone your local motorfactors and give them the registration number and they'll get you the right parts.

The guys right - most motor factors ask which ones you need - same for peugeots. Best thing to do is just take your old ones off and take them in to make sure they are right.

They should be able to find them from either your reg plate or the make, model and age of the car. If they cant i'd go somewhere else... its not rocket science for them!
Shouldn't matter what type of pads they are... You'd probably be cheaper just getting a mintex set or the like off ebay. £20 posted seems to be bout the going rate for them

You can tell by the shape. I had the same problem. Tell them they are banana shape not the square ones! Oh yeah there is another way of knowing look on the brake manifold it should say ATE

Even with the number plate the computer will only pull up the make and model - it will still give all the options that they have which "could" fit.
