my head gasket went on my saxo 1.4 furio a few months back, i got it fixed now its startin to over heat again but this time its not using water too quickly or oil like when the head gasket went, is this likely to be the thermostat? i got told to turn on the car heaters when the car over heats to cool it down so ive tried this and for a minute or 2 they blow out hot and then they turn cold this is whats made me think thermostat any help will be very much apreciated

#2When the headgasket was changed was the water system bled propaly, i changed my a while back and i had the same problem there was a lot of air in the water system, and i bed the system through the 3 bled points and that did the trick.

#4ounds like u need to bleed and flush the cooling system you'll have quite a bit of gunk in the system from a mixture of oil and water plus quite a bit of air from the sounds of it
