Oil and water pump change interval

    Hey guys.

    Car has done 10k miles since last oil change 8 months ago. Should I change it now or wait the 4 months till its been a year?

    Since im draining the oil, I was going to fix a leak from the front crankshaft seal. It may have dripped on the cambelt, if so I was going to change that. But the water pump + belt was only changed April '09, 17k ish ago.

    Could I get away with only changing the belt if needed and not the water pump?

    The pump will be fine after only 17k

    Should be fine after 17K mate, but as water pumps aren't that expensive and you can do the work yourself, id do it for piece of mind anyway
